Caloric Expenditure

Your body's use of calories to perform physical activity and daily tasks is called Caloric Expenditure. These calories are obtained from food and fat stores in your body.

The number of calories expended during an exercise session depends upon the duration, type of activity and the size of the person. The longer the duration, the more intense the exercise and the larger the person, (it takes more energy to move a greater mass) the greater the Caloric Expenditure.

Use the tool below to see approximately how many calories you expend when you exercise and track your workout with the exercise program card.

Using The Caloric Calculator:
Enter the duration of your exercise and your weight and select the exercise & intensity from the scroll down list. Click on the "calculate" button for your Caloric Expenditure.
