"Nothing good comes in life or athletics unless a lot of hard work has preceded the effort. Only temporary success is achieved by taking short cuts." - Roger Staubach
One of the biggest training mistakes I have seen and done myself in the gym is junk training. This is when our intentions of looking better, being faster or keeping fit are sabotaged by the lack of a clearly defined purpose. We go from session to session without having a common thread to tie everything together. Workouts become counterproductive; we risk injuring ourselves and waste valuable time.
Training is an investment in you. Whether you are training for cycling season or bikini season, it should involve hard work and be progressive. When I train people, I first assess their ability through an introductory workout to establish a starting point; we then commit to some attainable goals and work hard to achieve these goals in the most effective way possible.
When you and I work together, we eliminate the junk with a specific training program focused on getting you to your current and future goals. After all, you deserve the best return on your investment.
