Volunteer Perks
As a Health + Fitness Centre volunteer instructor, you will get:

Aquafit Instructors
We are looking for BCRPA Registered Fitness Leaders to volunteer to teach 1- 2 classes per week. Various shifts are available.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching a fun, safe fitness class that accommodates the needs and interests of our members
- Maintaining a physical fitness level that enables you to instruct a class at the required intensity levels
- Communicating effectively with participants
- Responding to emergencies and being familiar with emergency procedures
- Maintaining BCRPA registration requirements
- Completing class statistics
We are looking for BCRPA Registered Weight Trainers (or equivalent) to volunteer for a minimum of 2 hours per week. Various shifts are available for the following days and times: Mon-Fri, 6:00am to 8:00pm, Sat/Sun 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting assigned orientations and/or consultations and providing membership assistance as needed
- Creating a safe and non-threatening atmosphere in the Conditioning Room
- Supervising activities in the Conditioning Room
- Recording statistics
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment
- Responding to emergencies and being familiar with emergency procedures
- Maintaining BCRPA registration requirements
