Weight Rooms


The Health + Fitness Centre offers three weight rooms each uniquely outfitted with equipment designed for different body types. Male and female, beginner and expert, strength and rehab, whatever your needs, we have the equipment for you.

Keiser Room
The Keiser room is outfitted with hydraulic equipment, which allows you to increase or decrease the amount of weight you are lifting with the push of a button. Great for those who are new to weightlifting, rehabilitating from an injury, and seniors. This area also houses 15 LeMonde indoor cycles for convenient circuit training.

Conditioning Room
The Conditioning room hosts our Cybex equipment. The sleek new equipment features fully enclosed twist select weight stacks to allow precise incremental adjustments, variable resistance for maximum training with consistent effort and isolateral movement (right to left sides function independently) so no more cheating with your strong side!

The Conditioning room also hosts two free weight stations with dumbbells from 2lbs to 90lbs. Target small or large muscles using flat and split benches or up the ante and use a body ball or BOSU trainer. There is no limit to the exercises you can perform with free weights.

Women Only Area
Our women only area is specifically designed for a woman’s needs. This room, which is separated from the main cardio room, features all-new Hoist equipment providing the most modern strength training technology available today. These new machines provide the same functional movements of free weight training but are more comfortable, natural and easy to use. The women only area also features three cardio machines and free weights with dumbbells starting at 2lbs, flat and split benches, and plenty of room for stretching. Rehab and Sport Specific Conditioning
The Health+ Fitness Centre has a variety of tools for your rehab and sport specific conditioning. Take advantage of balance tools such as body balls, BOSU balance trainers and wobble boards as well as medicine balls and myofascial release balls. Ensure you are getting the most from your time in the weight room. Work with one of our personal trainers either on a regular schedule or for time-to-time updates to keep you on track.
