Nicky is a woman with a mission. She lost 30 lbs in eight months at our Aquatic classes and dropped three dress sizes! “You have to persevere with your goals - just throw yourself in at the deep end and keep swimming!”
Nicky joined the Health + Fitness Centre nine years ago hoping to lose weight and get in shape but it wasn’t until the break-up of her relationship that she really began to turn her life around.
She committed to attending Aquatic classes four times a week, enlisted the help of a personal trainer, and changed her eating and lifestyle habits to a healthier, more balanced routine. She lost 30 lbs in eight months and dropped three dress sizes as a result!
“I feel fantastic,” she says “I have lots more energy, a new relationship I’m very excited about and I just feel so much better generally .”
Nicky loves her Aquatic instructors and thinks they’ve played a big part in her fitness success, “the classes are challenging but you have great support from the trainers and I’ve made a lot of friends here, which has really helped me keep going.”
She has grown mentally, physically and emotionally over the last year and feels very committed to her fitness goals, and also to the Health +Fitness Centre. “Coming to classes here is not just a health thing, it’s been a lifesaver for me during some tough times.”
Nicky’s fitness advice to others: throw yourself in at the deep end and just keep swimming....
